At BETS UNIKA, I create children’s clothing with care for both little ones and the planet.

Every BETS piece is made from carefully selected upcycled textiles or deadstock fabrics, with a focus on quality, functionality, and timeless design.

I believe children’s clothing is made to be worn — for everyday adventures, special moments, and everything in between.

My goal is to create the piece a child reaches for first. Clothing that feels comfortable, allows freedom to play, and is loved and worn again and again.

Upcycling Textiles

At BETS UNIKA, I work with carefully selected upcycled textiles and deadstock fabrics because I believe beautiful materials deserve more than one life.

Instead of producing with newly manufactured fabrics, I give existing textiles a new purpose by transforming them into unique children’s clothing with history and soul.

Every textile is chosen for its quality, character, and potential to become something new. As some of the materials have already lived a life before BETS, you may notice small traces of their history.

I don’t see these as imperfections, but as part of what makes every BETS piece truly one of a kind.

Slow Fashion

At BETS UNIKA, slow fashion is about creating with intention. Not simply by producing less, but by designing timeless children’s clothing that is worn more.

Each piece is designed to be worn — from everyday adventures to life’s special moments.

The oversized fit gives children room to grow, move, and play for longer. For example, the trousers are designed to be worn with rolled-up hems at first and later at their full length.

The dresses are created with extra room, allowing them to be worn as tops as children grow.

The result is a BETS piece that naturally becomes part of a child’s wardrobe — and hopefully a favourite.

Made in Denmark

BETS UNIKA is built around personal craftsmanship. Every BETS piece is designed by me, and most are sewn by hand in my own studio, where every design receives the time, care, and attention it deserves.

For larger production runs, I collaborate with Huset Venture, a Danish social enterprise sewing studio committed to both social responsibility and environmentally conscious practices.

This allows BETS UNIKA to grow thoughtfully while keeping production in Denmark.

BETS Limited Drops are small collections released at selected times throughout the year. Each drop features a curated mix of unique styles in very limited quantities.

You’ll find all practical information about the upcoming drop here before launch.

Looking for something truly special?

With a made-to-order piece, you choose the design, size, and textile from the materials currently available. You can find inspiration from previous drops or the textiles shown here on the website.

Care guide

BETS pieces are made to be worn — even when little adventures call for an extra wash.

All textiles are pre-washed at 60°C using organic Sonett detergent and tumble dried before they are transformed into a BETS piece.

This means you can confidently wash and tumble dry your BETS piece without worrying about shrinkage or losing its shape.

To extend the life of both the garment and the environment, I recommend washing at 30°C and air drying whenever possible.
